Grupo Modelo - Guadalajara Brewery

Scope of Work:
Grupo Modelo wanted to increase energy savings from a new boiler blowdown system which had a steam flash system designed by Grupo Modelo. Armstrong International engineered a complete heat recovery system.
Upgrade Projects:
- Engineered a sensible heat recovery system for a boiler surface blowdown process.
Time of Service:
Project was completed in March 2004.
Benefits:
- A combination of a Flash Steam System and Sensible Heat Recovery have reduced fuel gas consumption by 1.1%
- Boiler water containing high dissolved solids concentration has a temperature equal or lower than 140˚F before it is discharged into the sewer.
